Protos™ is an advanced, high-efficiency protein skimmer that utilizes Aspirated Gas Injected Flotation (AGIF) technology to enhance water quality through microbubble separation. Engineered for precision treatment, Protos injects air or gas directly into the water as electrically activated microbubbles, creating targeted turbulence that lifts and removes contaminants including bacteria, algae, oils, greases, and suspended solids—both organic and inorganic.

Ideal for aquaculture and closed-loop water systems, Protos processes between 10–18 m³/h (44–79 GPM) and includes adjustable air intake control to match specific operational demands. By facilitating the rapid removal of Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), it prevents the formation of toxic sludge and buildup of inhibitory particles.

 

Beyond air injection, Protos also allows for the controlled introduction of oxygen, ozone, carbon dioxide, and various liquid additives (such as flocculants or surfactants) via saturation or induction—providing exceptional versatility for advanced water treatment. Foam generated during operation is liquefied and cleanly evacuated, ensuring efficient, continuous separation without fouling.
